First of all, try to determine if it is safe to stay in the house. Are there any electrical cords or outlets in the water, etc. Is it slick and could cause you to fall? If you can’t determine if it’s safe or not, it’s better to be safe than sorry and avoid the home or at least the area with water damage. It’s probably best you not attempt to clean anything yourself. Our technicians are trained in the best process to efficiently clean without causing further damage. What you can do while you wait is contact your insurance to see if you are covered and start a claim.
